Burnout is a Unique Weapon in The Outer Worlds. Weapons are used to deal damage to Enemies. Each weapon has different attack values such as: damage, rate of fire, reload time, etc making them more or less useful depending on the situation.
Black scorch marks run along the barrel and heat ports of this weapon, and the grip and trigger are visibly worn. It's been on the job long past the point of breaking down, making it right at home in Halcyon.
