Flamethrower is a Heavy Weapon in The Outer Worlds. Weapons are used to deal damage to Enemies. Each weapon has different attack values such as: damage, rate of fire, reload time, etc making them more or less useful depending on the situation.
This weapon fires a continuous stream of superheated flammable gel that immediately evaporates and ignites on contact with air. The stream of fire will rapidly burn down unarmored foes and will set enemies on fire.

Note: There is a Flamethrower 2.0 (1,225 DPS). Found in The Hope in an open sleeper pod in the room beside the elevator that goes up to the bridge--the room with the a Sprat boss.
