The Story of Two Disasters is one of the Main Quests in the Murder on Eridanos DLC for The Outer Worlds. Main Quests are those that must be completed in order to advance the main story and progress the game.

The Story of Two Disasters Walkthrough
This quest is acquired automatically after completing The Infernal Exploding Machine of Halcyon Helen.
Head to the Phaeton Pilothouse East of the Hotel and make your way to the Navigation Deck. Inside, you hear Sedrick Kincannon over the intercom. He isn't happy that you've sided with the Administrator and sends his goons to attack you. Fight your way through the SLUG troops and make your way to the terminal in one of the upper platforms. At the terminal, you can attempt to disperse the larval compound but it will tell you that you need to stabilize the reactor. Head for the door on the West side of the main floor and take the elevator down.
At the lower floor, there are more SLUG troops and Sedrick himself who will attack you on site. Kill everyone and make your way to the reactor. Flip the switch and head back to the terminal on the main floor above. You will be confronted by Halcyon Helen and you will need to kill her to proceed. Inspect the terminal and disperse the larval compound. After the cutscene, the quest is completed and you will receive the new quest For a Breath I Tarry.
