The Ambrose Intersection Walkthrough

Once you are back on the Unreliable during The Red Tape of Command you'll find out that Olivia Ambrose is alive and you'll have to decide if you want to support Olivia and destroy the Gorgon Project or stay with Minnie and restart it. Or find a compromise and get them both working towards a cure.

Support Olivia Ambrose

Travel to the Ambrose Manor. Head inside and defeat the Security Robots. Use the elevator located on the main floor to access Olivia's Personal Lab. On the last room you'll find Minnie Ambrose waiting for you. You can try to persuade her or kill her. If you kill her you'll acquire the Burnout unique weapon.

Head back to the Ambrose Manor and speak with Olivia Ambrose. She will reward you with 5,000 Bit Cartridges and the quest will be complete.

Support Minnie Ambrose

Travel to the Synthesis & Manufactory Center at Gorgon Landing Pad. Defeat the enemies (if you activated PAM on the preceding quest and she survived, she will be at the door to greet you and assist you) and head down using the stairs located on the north-west side of the building. Head down until you reach the bottom area where you'll find Olivia Ambrose. You can try to persuade her to surrender or you can kill her. If you kill her you can get the Equilibrium unique Weapon, Dr. Ambrose's Key and 5,000 Bit Cartridges from her body.

Head back to the Ambrose Manor and speak with Minnie Ambrose. She will reward you with 5,000 Bit Cartridges and the quest will be complete.

 Compromise

If you want to avoid bloodshed and guide them for the greater good of the colony Travel to the Ambrose Manor first. Head inside and defeat the Security Robots. Use the elevator located on the main floor to access Olivia's Personal Lab. On the last room you'll find Minnie Ambrose waiting for you. Talk to Minnie, mentions working towards a cure then pass 3 increasing Persuade skill checks(65, 100, 150) if you fail any of these she will refuse to work with Olivia. Once you convince her she will ask you to tell Olivia that she's willing to work something out and that Olivia can come over for tea. But that she will remain where she is just in case.

Travel to the Synthesis & Manufactory Center at Gorgon Landing Pad. Defeat the enemies and head down using the stairs located on the north-west side of the building. Head down until you reach the bottom area where you'll find Olivia Ambrose. You will then need to tell Olivia that you are here in peace and Minnie wants to work on a cure. You can then Persuade(45) her and then mention the tea. This will convince her and she's now willing to work with Minnie.

Now head to Ambrose Manor and you can see the two of them enjoying a drink together and talking about the project on Gorgon and their relationship. They will tell you about mending their relationship and working on the cure, you will be rewarded with 5,000 bit cartridges (plus an additional 5,000 bit cartridges if you pick pocket Oliva Ambrose) and the quest will be completed.

Support Olivia get burnout flip Oliva off (not necessary just funny) then kill Olivia getting both guns and 10'000 bits

        EASY PEACE ROUTE:

        1. Collect Minnie's drawing in Olivia's office on Gorgon.
        2. Hack the terminal in Olivia's terminal at the Ambrose estate (100 hack) for deleted messages.
        3. Make your way to the point where you confront Minnie, and pass a single persuade check (65). The first two steps provide unique dialog options and make this much smoother. You won't need 100+ persuade.

        • You should also know that if you kill Minnie early in the questline the access to Olivia's Personal Lab is liberated. You can get Grinder and "A Spade" much earlier than normal. You will obviously work with (or against) Lucien Brancroft from this point on.

Why is persuade such a demanding skill in RPGs if you aim to be goody two shoes? I get having a good tongue to convince people is a playstyle, but why not do New Vegas style and have different options? We even have Lie and Intimidate in this game but they are way inferior.

I don't know if this this was unknown until now but if you have the picture that minnie drew when she was a child (you find the picture in olivia's office in the synthesis and manufacture area - the room with the lockdown in red - it's in the corner of a wooden board.) you only need to pass one persuasion check and then show the picture and tell minnie that olivia had that because she cares about her in order to convince her to work together.

If you bothered to explore the mansion and look at Olivias terminal for the compromise option you only have to pass a 65, 100, 100 check. You can also choose to pick Inspire 65 instead but you still need 100 persuade for the other two.

It's possible to support Olivia without killing Minnie. Simply pass the persuasion checks as if brokering peace and then proceed to activate the NDA Protocol anyway. Olivia thanks the player for not killing her daughter but the final scene in the manor is still just Olivia. Minnie does not try and kill you after you leave the room for whatever reason.

I think the best ending is brokering peace and then activating the NDA Protocol after the mission is complete. They call you a dirty scoundrel and nobody gets what they want.
