Lost Little Milkmech is one of the Side Quests in The Outer Worlds, available with the Murder on Eridanos DLC. Side Quests are optional quests that players can choose to complete in order to obtain special rewards, XP, or reputation.

Mildred, a SLUG mechanic on the Wilderness Exploitation Reserve, has asked you to locate and return her lost milking mechanical. It seems to have wandered into the dangerous depths of the Reserve.

Lost Little Milkmech Walkthrough

This quest can be acquired by speaking to Mildred Lennox at the LEGAL Hunting Supplies store near the entrance to the Wilderness Exploitation Reserve.

You are tasked with finding Betty the Milkmech and sending her back to Mildred. Go behind the store and follow the path heading west. You will eventually find Betty attempting to milk the Canids in the area. Sneak up to her if you don't want to aggro the Canids. Speak with Betty until you get the Engineering option and then the Hack option or Lockpick options. Succeeding will have her return to Mildred. Note that you will need to sneak out of the area if you don't want to fight the Canids. Alternatively, you can forgo the conversation with Betty and instead kill all the hostiles. She will automatically return to Mildred once she no longer detects any "cacows" in the vicinity.

Speak to Mildred to receive your reward and complete the quest.
