Weapons | The Outer Worlds Wiki

The Outer Worlds Weapons contain many different types, including: Bullet Weapons, Energy Weapons, Melee Weapons, and Science Weapons. Bullet Weapons have light and heavy ammo. Energy Weapons have special effects and are charged rather than reloaded. Melee Weapons have a short-range but powerful, effect and no need for any kind of ammo or charge. Science Weapons, not much is known about them yet, but there is a “Shrink Ray”.

Weapon Management

Players can equip up to 4 weapons equipped at a time, by navigating to the weapon, then selecting the weapon slot at the top of the screen. On the Weapons Ledger, you can also inspect, compare them, flag them as junk, or break them down for parts. Players with the Engineering skill can repair weapons on the weapons ledger as well.

Weapon Conditions

Overtime, weapons degrade with excessive use and can break and will have minimum effectiveness once the condition reaches zero. Players can find a Workbench and repair it, or you can do it if you have the Engineering skill. Or have a vendor do it.

Weapons all have their own individual level which determines how much damage they deal. Using the Tinkering option at the workbench, you can increase the level of a weapon.

Throughout the game, you'll find weapons that have a suffix attached to it at the end designated by the weapon's manufacturer: Spacer's Choice - mk 2, Hammersmith - II, T&L - Ultra, and Joch - 2.0. These weapons are not actually more powerful than their non-suffixed predecessors. The reason that their damage looks to be higher is due to their level (they also drop at a higher level); a level 20 non-suffixed weapon deals the same amount of damage as a level 20 suffixed weapon. It should be noted that tinkering costs increase based on the subsequent number of upgrades already purchased. A weapon that drops at level 2 and is upgraded by 18 levels will cost the player exponentially more than instead, finding a weapon at level 18 and upgrading it by 2 levels.

Past the lobby, head to the East side of the main floor then turn left. The weapon is leaning against the wall of a small room in this area. Note that it is best to try and get this weapon during the Lord of Blight quest, as you will gain access to this warehouse during the quest. Otherwise, you will have to sneak in from the back entrance and fight a bunch of thugs.
Brontide (Only available with Murder on Eridanos DLC)	2-Handed Melee	N/A	Bleed		Brontide can be found on Eridanos at the Phaeton Pilothouse's lower Gyro area. In the first room you enter after the entrance hallway, there are upper ledges on either side with ladders. Take the left ladder and you should find the axe buried in the back of a Rizzo's Employee's corpse at the end of the walkway.
Captain Robin's Spine (Only available with Murder on Eridanos DLC)	1-Handed Melee	N/A	Bleed		Captain Robin's Spine can be found in the Purpleberry Puzzlehedges at the Purpleberry Orchards on Eridanos. The weapon is on a bench in the very center of the Hedges, inside the building.

Frigidariator (Only available with Murder on Eridanos DLC)	Long Guns	Exact-O-Sight	Stagger		The Frigidariator can be found on Eridanos, on the small island between the Grand Colonial Hotel and the Purpleberry Orchards. North of the island, you can find the entrance to a small room. To the right of the entrance is a table with the gun.
Man Splitter (Only available with Murder on Eridanos DLC)	2-Handed Melee	N/A	N/A		The Man Splitter can be found at the Wilderness Exploitation Reserve on Eridanos. From the Holey Caves entrance, head directly West until you see some containers with a corpse on the found. The weapon is embedded on the back of the corpse.

Can be looted after killing the queen, the Administrator Ludovico's body would be in the same place as where the queen died.

In this area, there is a small storeroom of sorts. The weapon can be found leaning against the right wall in this room.
Plasma Propulsion Pack (Only available with Murder on Eridanos DLC)	Heavy Weapons	Mag-Num	Burn		The Plasma Propulsion Pack can be found at the Wilderness Exploitation Reserve on Eridanos. Head behind the LEGAL Hunting Supplies store to find a camp of sorts. Past the campfire and to the back, you will find the weapon on the floor in front of some wreckage.
Recharge (Only available with Murder on Eridanos DLC)	Heavy Weapons	N/A	Stun		The Recharge can be found on Eridanos at the Distillation Station. Enter the main Distillery building. In the room with the giant Rizzo's mascot head in the middle, unlock the left door. Go under the crawlspace and then the other crawlspace on the left. The gun can be found leaning against the machinery at the end of this room.
Short Circuit (Only available with Murder on Eridanos DLC)	Long Guns	Mag-2-Zap	Knockback		The Short Circuit can be found on Eridanos, on the small island between the Wilderness Exploitation Reserve and the Grand Colonial Hotel. Coming from the Hotel-side of the bridge, there is a patch of land left of the bridge with a cave. Inside the cave are several hostiles. Defeat them and loot the safe key from one of the corpses. Head back outside and onto the main platform on the island. There is a small building here with a hole blown on one side of the wall. The weapon is inside the safe in this building.
Signed Tossball Stick (Only available with Murder on Eridanos DLC)	2-Handed Melee	SpeedGrip Mr. Power	Stagger		The Signed Tossball Stick can be found in the VIP Floor of the Grand Colonial Hotel on Eridanos. You will need to have gained access to the floor by progressing in the main quest The Man Who Chafed. From the floor's entrance, take the left hallway all the way to the end. Turn right and enter the room. The weapon can be found leaning against a wall of the room.
Thunderclap (Only available with Murder on Eridanos DLC)	1-Handed Melee	N/A	Knockdown		Can be found in the basement of the Grand Colonial Hotel on Eridanos. You can get there by taking the stairs near the Kitchen. Find the hallway marked 'B' and enter the room B2. There is a crawlspace here that you can use to get into room B1 where the Thunderclap can be found on the floor among the junk.
Quick and Dirty (Only available with Murder on Eridanos DLC)	2-Handed Melee	N/A	Physical		Eridanos, West of Rizzo's Distillation Station. Stuck on a tree. Looks like used to cut.

  There is also the Landing Pad Cutting underneath the landing platform where Ludwig is, go down the hill hug the path on the edge and eventually you'll see 2 dead corpses and the weapon laying next to them
